Gluten Free BeerPosted on Saturday, June 10, 2006
Q2: I am trying to find out who makes Gluten Free Beer and under what name, also where can I get it. I am also interested in what they use in place of Barley and what controls they have in place to prevent contamination.

The company Les bières de la Nouvelle-France, is the first to make the first gluten free beer called La Messagère. It is made from rice and buckwheat.
La Messagère can be found in LCBO, and I do believe they can be put on special order. Speak to your nearest LCBO manager.
For more information on La Messagère, check out their website: http://www.lesbieresnouvellefrance.com
